The most ambitious mission planned to date, Project Payette, named after astronaut Julie Payette, will send a crew to the surface of Vall and back home.

As this mission depends on advanced technologies such as nuclear electric propulsion, this mission will probably not launch until after the successful completion of Project Kilrain.

Ahead of the crewed mission, one tanker will transport fuel for the crew's return, while another will transport a lander, habitat, and ISRU for use during the mission.
