Launch: SCISAT 1

Year 1, day 163.

1. Achieve orbit around Kerbin.
2. Run experiments and transmit data on command
3. Perform automated orbital adjustment

Crew:

• None

While Forager IV was able to transmit data, it was unable to receive commands. SCISAT 1's software has the ability to run commands sent via kOS, allowing longer missions and possible recovery from software bugs.

Once in orbit, a command will be sent telling the probe to take a temperature reading, and transmit the data back to KSC.

Some loss of control is experienced after MECO.

The payload is deployed after reaching space.

The satellite's thrusters fire to circularize the orbit.

Once safely in orbit, SCISAT I deploys its antenna and begins tracking the sun.

Once a communications link with the satellite was established, KSC sent the command to record science, and the probe successfully performed the command.

The next objective was to perform an orbital adjustment, raising the apoapsis to just under 170km.

SCISAT I was then updated with a new mission script to adjust the orbit.
