The service module computer successfully calculated a circularization burn, but it would have been inside the atmosphere. While this was the most successful mission to date, it was still a failure. Year 3, Day 345: Prodigy XIIIThe upper stage performs a second burn, remaining suborbital, and is then jettisoned. After completing a full orbit, the capsule re-orients, performs its de-orbit burn, and jettisons the service module.
