Launch 1-18: Sharman 1

Year 1, day 300.
​Project: Sharman.
Mission Objectives:

1. Place probe in orbit of Mun.

After a couple of interplanetary transfer windows, it's time to return to exploring the Kerbin system by placing a satellite in orbit of Mun.

This is the same rocket and probe design launched for Seddon 1 and Seddon 2.

T-3: Ignition

T-0: Liftoff!

First stage sep.

Fairing jettison.

SECO at 60km.

Performing the trans-Mun injection burn.

Payload is deployed while the upper stage is on an impact trajectory.

The probe began taking scientific measurements once it neared Mun before capturing into orbit.

Mun insertion complete!

Mission Summary:
