Launch 1-21: Sullivan 1

Year 1, day 369.
Project: Sullivan.
Mission Objectives:

1. Perform a flyby of Minmus.
2. Record scientific data.

We launch to Minmus when its ascending or descending node is above KSC into a slightly inclined orbit. This reduces the need for a mid-orbit inclination change.

SECO occurs approximately four minutes into the flight.

Positioning for a small, 4.8m/s inclination change.

Using Minmus as a gravity slingshot, the upper stage is discarded while on an eventual escape trajectory from Kerbin. Unfortunately, decoupling forces knocked it off the escape trajectory.

The experiments were performed on the closest approach.

The probe on its way out of the Kerbin system.
