Launch 1-23: Baker 2

Year 1, day 415.
Project: Baker.
Mission Objectives:

1. Perform flyby of Dres.
2. Transmit scientific data from space around Dres.

After launching Baker 1, our engineers realized they'd made a rounding error while designing the power systems, and the probe probably doesn't have enough power once it nears Dres. In order to salvage this transfer window, we are going to launch another probe with improved power systems, and hope it can recover some data.

After the ejection and correction burns, the upper stage is discarded.

And the probe, with its new solar panels, is on its way to Dres.

Mission Status: on transfer orbit to Dres.
