Launch 1-8: Godwin 1

Year 1, day 70.
Project: Godwin.
Mission Objectives:

1. Qualify Godwin I rocket for crewed flight.

Before we launch crew into space with a new rocket, it must be qualified by successfully completing an uncrewed test flight. This helps to ensure the safety of our precious crew.

A little wobble at liftoff.

Ascent was nominal.

Our first multi-stage rocket ignites its second stage.

The first of three burns complete, the upper stages coasts to apoapsis.

The second burn puts the ship in a stable orbit.

After performing a de-orbit burn, the capsule separates from the upper stage and begins re-entry.
