Launch 1-9: Godwin 2

Year 1, day 93.
​Project: Godwin.
Mission Objectives:

1. Launch a Kerbal into LKO.
2. Perform EVA.
3. Return safely to Kerbin.

Crew: Valentina (Pilot)

Another requirement of our program is that the first crewed flight of a ship be commanded by a pilot, in case they need to take control due to a problem.

The second stage ignites after separating from the first stage at 40km.

SECO is at 60km.

Once in stable orbit, Valentina runs the various experiments and goes on EVA to collect the data.

Our upgraded runway is now just barely visible from space.

Her work complete, the upper stage is jettisoned and the capsule orients for re-entry.

Re-entry is nominal so far.

Mission Summary:

2. Perform EVA: success!
3. Return safely to Kerbin: success!
