Launch 2-3: Ivins 5

Year 2, day 58.
Project: Ivins.
Mission Objectives:

1. Launch satellite into polar orbit of Kerbin.
2. Perform terrain scan of Kerbin.

This will be our first SCANsat satellite. Additional satellites will be deployed to Mun and Minmus, and eventually other planets as well. 

Launching south to keep the flight plan over the ocean.

The satellite is deployed at 70km.

Solar panels and antenna are deployed before circularizing. The probe includes more powerful monoprop thrusters than earlier craft.

Once in orbit, it deploys its altimeter scanner and begins scanning the surface of Kerbin.

Mission Summary:

2. Perform terrain scan of Kerbin: success!
