Launch 3-1: Godwin 6

Year 3, day 23.
Project: Godwin.
Mission Objectives:

1. Launch into near-rendezvous with Whitson Station.
2. Dock to Whitson Station.
3. Return safely to Kerbin.

The purpose of this mission is to flight-qualify a rocket with a smaller crewed stage, more appropriate for docking with stations above Kerbin. It will be an automated test flight.

Hullcams are back!

Nearing MECO.

Ullage motors push the second stage away.

Second stage ignition.

After spending nearly two days in a chase orbit, the capsule finally rendezvous with the station.

Docked!

The capsule picks up a bit of a tumble as it separates for re-entry.

Fortunately the tumble stabilized before re-entry.

Mission Summary:

1. Launch into near-rendezvous with Whitson Station: partial success.
2. Dock to Whitson Station: success!
3. Return safely to Kerbin: success!
