Resnik I: Pad Launch Abort Test

Year 2, day 311.
Project: Resnik.
Mission Objectives:

1. Safely recover (uncrewed) capsule after activation of launch escape system.

Before launching crew in a new vessel, it might be qualified for crewed flight. The first part is performing a test of its launch escape system, which will jettison the capsule from the rocket in the event of an emergency during ascent.

The rockets fire, pulling the capsule away from the pad.

Then the LES is jettisoned.

The parachute is deployed.

The capsule floats safely to the ground.

Looks OK.
