Year 4, Day 355.
Mission Objectives:
This is a high-speed encounter, which we've decided to try out nuclear engines on. This lets us get away with a single stage for transfer and circularization, reducing the size of the lifter required to get it out of the atmosphere. Now that we have a relay network around Moho, we can send a lander. Coincidentally, we have a new transfer window open.

Mission Summary:
Unfortunately, I must have missed my correction burn alarm, and the probe was not able to collect scientific data from near Moho's surface. Instead, we obtained scientific data about the Sun. Launching a slightly more powerful version of our previous KomSAT Mk V. We've upgraded our launchpad to accommodate larger rockets, which should give this rocket a better margin for error.

Whew, that's a mouthful.
This is a pretty cool rocket. The first stage consists of a core stage, plus 4 auxiliary tanks that are decoupled along the way. The payload consists of three relay satellites, allowing us to deploy a relay network to a planet in a single launch. At least in theory. Download craft! Download kOS scripts! Year 3, Day 241. Mission Objectives:
This is probably what our initial explorer probe should have been, as it contains additional science modules. We are going to perform another fly-by to perform more experiments.

Year 3, Day 223. Our Moho Explorer-1a probe is ready for its encounter with Moho. Previously.
Year 3, Day 172. Mission Update: A correction burn has been performed, currently putting us on an impact trajectory with Moho. A further correction burn will be performed once we enter Moho's SOI. It is finally time to venture beyond the confines of Kerbin's SOI, and visit our system's innermost planet: Moho. While our interplanetary communication network isn't fully functional, it will be by the time we need to communicate with this probe.
