Launch 5-1: KMSS Launch 2: Halo Habitation Module

Year 5, Day 1.
Mission Objectives:

1. Dock habitation module with KMSS.

A new year brings new contracts. We need to provide living space for up to five kerbals on our station.

Payload: Halo Habitation Module

Payload stage: Automated Docking Module

Lifter: Zephyrus mk I

Main engine start.

Liftoff.

Passing through clouds at an altitude of 5km.

Altitude: 14km.

Slight anomaly before first stage separation, but we should still have enough fuel to reach orbit.

In orbit.

Due to the station's slightly higher orbit, this launch did not attempt a direct-ascent rendezvous.

The first step in our docking procedure is to approach within about 200m of the craft.

The vessel then attempts to move into position about 100m in front of the target port.

The craft then aligns itself with the docking port, and begins its final approach using RCS thrusters.

The docking module will remain attached until a science module is connected.
