Launch 5-16: Gilly Lander

Year 5, Day 193.
Mission Objectives:

1. Land on Gilly.
2. Recover scientific data from Gilly.

While one of the design goals for DEUCES was to be able to boost-back into LKO after transferring a payload to another planet, it's currently difficult to do that directly from launch. Instead, we'll just send a DEUCES to Gilly and attempt a landing. This is purely a scientific mission (although we will be paid for it).

Payload: A Bunch of Science

Lifter: DLSv3 Atlas DEUCES mk II

No boosters for this launch.

With no sizeable payload, the craft quickly reached SECO and coasted to circularization.

Verifying long range comms before performing ejection burn.

Post-burn telemetry confirms we are go for encounter.
