Launch 5-20: Minmus Resupply

Year 5, Day 241.
Mission Objectives:

1. Dock with Biko 1 [Kerbin] to refuel.
2. Transfer to Minmus and resupply station.

​This mission will resupply our food, fuel, and includes tools and parts to fix some problems with our lander.

Payload: Fuel, supplies, and KAS parts.

Lifter: DLSv3 Atlas V+2 DEUCES mk II

Booster sep.

Fairing jettison and stage sep.

Completing first upper stage burn.

Nominal rendezvous and approach.

The craft refuelled and then undocked for transferring to Minmus.

Inclination change to finalize encounter with Minmus.

Once we're in the SOI of Minmus, we change our orbit to intercept the station's orbit at our periapsis.

Another nominal docking.

Now it's time for Bill to perform an EVA to install parts on the CFV.

First, he installed a fuel line so that the fore landing engines will (hopefully) work.

Then, he installs a pair of solar panels. Hopefully this will allow our base contract to be fulfilled.

Repairs complete, he returns to the airlock.

The station resupplied, the craft undocks.

At this point, we don't intend to reuse the resupply stage, so the DEUCES puts it on an impact trajectory, decouples, and burns again to put it in a safe parking orbit.

Two days later, the science lab finally makes its encounter with Minmus.

Beginning its docking approach.

With the science lab attached, Docal and Karise begin analyzing the data collected from the surface.
